TV actors poised to make a comeback this year

Year 2017 is set to be a banner year for certain Television names. After taking a break from the TV town for quite some time, several well-known stars are returning to the spotlight over the coming months. Below, check out the list of popular TV town actors who are all set to make a comeback this year.

  1. Barun Sobti

Who doesn’t remember Barun Sobti playing Arnav Singh Raizada on Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon? back in 2012, who created a surge of awe among people for Arnav Singh Raizada.  This show was not just a differently showcased love story but the characterization was also unique. Post that Barun took a break from television and did a couple of movies in Bollywood and web series for Hotstar. But, after 5 long years, Barun Sobti is back to charm the audience with a different name Advay Singh Raizada with ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3?’ with the same production house. Shivani Tomar will be seen opposite Barun in the show.

  1. Madhurima Tuli

Madhurima Tuli became a popular name after her stints in Colors TV’s Parichay and Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya. She has also been part of a couple of movies like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Toss, Kaalo, Baby etc. She also played a pivotal role in Colors TV’s ’24 season2 .’ The pretty actress is all set to make a comeback with Ekta Kapoor’s show ‘Chandrakanta’ which is going to start by the end of this month, where Madhurima is playing the titular role of Chandrakanta.

  1. Pooja Sharma

Pretty actress Pooja sharma grabbed eyeballs for playing the esteemed role of Queen Draupadi in Star Plus’ magnum opus show Mahabharat, where she impressed one and all with her amazing acting and elegance. Pooja is making a much awaited comeback with Swastik Production’s ‘Mahakali- Ant Hi Aarambh Hai’, which will be aired soon on Colors, where the actress will play different forms of Shakti i.e. Parvati and Kaali. Pooja has earlier worked under the same production house in Mahabharat. The channel has earned accolades for the first teaser of Mahakali, where Pooja looked fierce and impressive as Goddess Kali. Pooja has been paired opposite popular actor Sourabh Raaj Jain, who is going to play Lord Shiva in the show.

  1. Tejaswi Wayangankar

Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar, better known as Ragini from the successful show of Colors’ Swaragini is all set to stage a come-back to the telescreen in all new avatar. Her new show will air on  Sony TV and is titled ‘Pahredaar Piya Ki’. This show is speculated to be loosely based on Anil Kapoor-Sridevi starrer Lamhe. The actress will be paired up with Afaan Khan, a 10-year-old. The show is set against the backdrop of Rajasthan, and the shooting for the show has already begun in Udaipur. The show is being produced by Shashi and Sumeet Mittal.

  1. Ashish Sharma

Handsome actor Ashish Sharma, who won audience’s hearts in Colors TV’s Rangrasiya and Star Plus’ show Siya Ke Ram, is now ready to make a comeback with another historical show ‘Prithvi Vallabh’, which will showcase the unexplored story of a valiant ruler of Malva. The show will go on air on Sony soon. Ashish who has become quite an experienced guy in historical genre will play the lead role of King Prthivi Vallabh in the show.

  1. Preetika Rao

Beautiful actress Preetika Rao who is famous for her role in Colors’ popular show Beinteha was missing from the tube ever since the show wrapped up. But, she is now all set to make a comeback with Star Plus’ ‘Love Ka Hai Intezaar’ where she will play Sanjeeda Sheikh’s sister in the series. Her character will bring many twists and turns to the storyline.

  1. Rati Pandey

Lovely and talented actress Rati Pandey, who is best known for her roles in hit shows like ‘Miley Jab Hum Tum’ and Zee TV’s ‘Hitler Didi’ has been off from television from quite some time now. The actress is finally returning to TV screens with Sony TV’s most ambitious project ‘Porus’, where she is playing the female lead Anusuya. Rati is undergoing a rigorous training and is learning horse riding and fighting techniques for the show.

  1. Avinash Sachdev

Avinash Sachdev who became a popular name after doing famous TV shows like Chhoti Bahu and Iss Pyaar Ko kya Naam Doon 2? is finally making a comeback as main lead in LifeOK’s much talked about revenge drama ‘Inteqam Ek Masoom ka’. The show is said to be inspired by actor Govinda’s popular movie ‘Hatya’

  1. Sonarika Bhadoria

Stunning actress Sonarika Bhadoria became a household name after portraying Goddess Parvati in Life OK’s most popular show ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’. Post Mahadev, Sonarika took a break from Television and did a couple of hit flicks in South. She also played lead in India’s first ever musical horror movie Saansein. The actress is now returning to the tube in Sony’s upcoming flick ‘Prithvi Vallabh’, where she has been roped in opposite Ashish Sharma.

  1. Hussain Kuwajerwala

Dashing and talented actor Hussain Kuwajerwala has recently staged a comeback on a television show after a hiatus of eight years. The actor is seen in Vipul D Shah’s recent comedy flick, Sajan Re Phir Jhuth Mat Bolo, a sequel to Sab TV’s popular show ‘Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo’. Hussain became a household name with Star Plus’ popular show Kumkum Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan alongside Juhi Parmar. After that, he went on to be a part of shows like Krishna Arjun and several reality shows namely Khatron Ke Khiladi and Nach Baliye 2.
