Indian Television Industry was known for two kind of characters, negative and positive, where lead roles were knowing to be positive only while villains were having guilty and negative thoughts of mind. But today the time is changed and the makers started doing experiments with various aspects of their stories, leading ladies are experimenting with different shade characters and grey is their new color.
People having grey shade character are mixture of good and bad qualities who can be seems to be bad at times but we can’t really deny that they possess a soft corner as well in their hearts. Here we are talking about those ladies whose grey shade character with their sparkling charm is giving a new height to the Indian Television Industry.
Jennifer Winget’s commendable acting as Maya, who is over possessive for her love, in Sony TV’s Beyhadh is collecting lots of good responses. Her charm with grey shade character is compelling people to keep looking at her continuously. After doing justice with positive characters like Ridhima in Sanjeevani and Kumud in Saraswatichandra, the way she turned herself from the Sanskaari Kanya to gorgeous and dangerous Maya is worth applause.
Adaa Khan as her name defines she is the queen of style. She attained the level of success and won lots of hearts with her brilliant acting skills and charm in Naagin. After being seen as Akashi in Star Plus’s Behenein, she portrayed the characters named Amrit and Shesha in Amritmanthan and Naagin respectively and in both of the shows her character gone coloured with grey shade which she justified with perfection and grace.
Aditi Rathore is currently portraying the character of Avni aka Ananya in Naamkaran and is revengeful and hence adopting wrong ways. That’s what makes her character grey shaded. Anvi is an innocent, cute and good girl but Ananya is stubborn and can do anything to accomplish her objective. Aditi has been seen in various positive roles before but now what she is portraying is completely different and absolutely doing justice.
Maryada actress Riddhi Dogra was seen fighting against wrong doings in many shows, but now she is playing a diverse character in Zee TV’s Woh Apna Sa, in which she can go to any extent to get what she wants either it can be money, husband or power.She is an obsessive wife and mother who don’t want to lose them at any cost. Riddhi’s brilliant acting is not allowing viewers to think that she is attempting grey shade for the first time.
Shraddha Arya was last seen in Life OK’s Dream Girl in which she had been seen playing the character of dream girl Ayesha Sareen who was overprotective and obsessive about her power, title and reputation in film industry. To maintain this title she did extreme planning and plotting. Shraddha’s spark and grey shade look with a fantastic performance left everyone spellbound.
