On the occasion of Independence Day, the cast of Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s (Swastik Productions) Karamphaldata Shani talk about their favourite patriotic film and how it has inspired them.
Salil Ankola – My favourite film is Mangal Pandey as it epitomizes a man, who fought for his rights and his country. His life gives out a very valuable teaching that no one should even mess with a common man.
Gufi Paintal – My all-time favourite patriotic films are Haqeeqat and Shaheed Bhagat Singh because they inspire the youth towards patriotism and belief in the country.
Kunal Bakshi – My favourite patriotic film is Border, the sacrifices made by the army and the soldiers inspires me. It shows what it takes to think about the country first and then think for oneself.
Tarun Khanna – My favourite patriotic film is Shaheed which starred Manoj Kumar. I love this film because I am a die hard fan of Bhagat Singh, his ideology inspires me.
Kartikey Malviya – My favourite patriotic film is Border, I get goosebumps when I see the sacrifices made by the soldiers for our country.
Praneet Sharma – My favourite patriotic movie is The legend of Shahid Bhagat Singh as I really admire him because of his dedication towards the country.
Devesh Ahuja – My favourite patriotic film is Rang De Basanti. The film brilliantly showed how six friends stood against corruption and raised their voices for a change. I have watched the film several times. And every time it has made me proud as an Indian. The love for my country grows stronger. Vande Mataram!
Drisha Kalyani – My favourite patriotic film is Tiranga because it is a nice movie and hats off to the police and military personnel, who don’t even think of their lives when they save our country from terrorists.
